This painting is very much connected to the symbol of the Two Roads. The creation of this painting started with an unusual assignment with help from the Dutch seer Loes van Loon. Wim's deceased love Linda asked him: „Will you please make for me a painting for all those people who in despair, in pain, to show them that they never are really alone, no matter how tough their road may be?“
Wim agreed, and when he started painting a series of events unfolded that can only be described as a miracle, evidence that we are always connected with our loved ones in Spirit.
Wim was about halfway the painting process when he didn't know how to proceed. Then 'by accident' they connected to Eliza White Buffalo, a seer in Nothern Ireland. She had written a book about her Life, 'Two Roads', in which her own name was Rose. Her youth can be regarded as symbolic for all those people in despair. She was healed a great deal already.
Eliza appeared to be a soulmate of Linda. Knowing this Wim could now finish the painting and when he and his love Marianne visited Eliza and gave her the painting as a gift for her birthday, she was so overwhelmed by the impact of this that, with help from Linda, she was able to go back to the moment that was the cause of her trauma, and be healed. This opened the way to making it possible to use her full power in bringing to the world what she calls the Two Roads Project for the world.Loreena McKennit made a song called 'Dante's Prayer'. De lyrics, once written by Dante, do reflect the same...
Then the mountain rose before me
By the deep well of desire
From the fountain of forgiveness
Beyond the ice and fire
Cast your eyes on the ocean
Cast your soul to the sea
When the dark night seems endless
Please remember me
